Bank of Scotland Business Loans

Bank of Scotland provide secured and unsecured business loans for purposes such as paying a HMRC tax bill; purchasing land and new premises or business growth.

Types of Business Loans

Where other banks provide a selection of loans with a “one size fits all” approach, Bank of Scotland split their business loan products into their suitability for the borrower’s annual turnover.

In every turnover bracket, Royal Bank of Scotland tailors each loan to your specific needs by offering loans such as Asset Finance Loans, Invoice Financing Loans and Vehicle Contract Loans.

£0-£1 Million Turnover

Bank of Scotland provide loans at a base rate, fixed rate or commercial rate loan; the size of the loan will determine how many years the loan can be spread over and the APR (ranging from 9.0% to 9.3% (variable) representative).

£1 - £25 Million Turnover

In addition to loans with the base rate, fixed rate and commercial rate with varying competitive interest as above, the Bank of Scotland provide give the option to secure a loan with a capped base rate.

The interest on a loan with a capped base rate is dependent on the Bank of England’s base rate. With a capped base rate loan you can secure between £50,001 and £1 million spread over 5 to 25 years. However, the Bank of Scotland will charge a 1.5% arrangement fee for the service.

£25 Million Plus Turnover

To deliver the best service, Bank of Scotland divides its tailored service into different industries, such as aerospace and defence; building, construction, and real estate; education, community, and government; energy and resources; financial institutions; and food and drink.

For this bracket, business can access the loans above but the interest rates and loan terms may differ.
