Bridging Loans For Land

In order to secure a bridging loan, the borrower needs provide the lender with details of their exit plan. An exit plan is the method in which the borrower intends to use to repay the loan at the end of the term of finance. An example of an exit plan is where the borrower sells their land when development has finished.  

As a general rule, bridging loans come with the option to ‘roll-up’ interest to pay at the end of the term of finance.  This may be an attractive option for those with land development projects, as it allows them to spend their finance on their project and not on monthly interest payments.
