Next Steps

As a specialist property finance broker, Clifton Private Finance can provide a clear picture of the options available to you. We will assess your specific set of circumstances and arrange a finance solution tailored to your needs.

Paying tax is another expense that businesses face year in and year out. Whether it is corporation tax, VAT or capital gains tax (CGT), your business will have to allocate a certain amount of finance to make periodic payments to the HMRC.

Unless you have put aside a substantial amount of capital to pay your tax bill, you may not be able to afford it. To ensure you can pay your latest bill as soon as possible, your best option may be to secure a business loan.

Traditional Lenders

If you have a tax bill deadline looming, applying to a traditional lender for a business loan may not be your best option to secure finance quickly. It is not uncommon for traditional lenders’ applications to take several weeks or even months to process.  Any delay may be costly, as the HMRC do not react well to missed deadlines.

Traditional lenders are reluctant to provide a business loan without the following: a few years’ worth of tax returns, your business’ future forecast, a business plan and profit and loss accounts. Retrieving these documents can be an inconvenience and may add more time to the application process overall. To avoid the lengthy application process of a traditional lender, you could approach a private lender.

Private Lenders

Private lenders may be able to provide the finance you need without the rigid application process. Unlike traditional lenders, private lenders often prioritise your ability to pay back the loan.

Due to their more straightforward application process, securing a business loan from a private lender may be quicker and could enable you to meet your tax bill deadline.

Private lenders are not available on the high street. If you need a business loan from a private lender, it is advisable to contact a broker.
